Areeba Amanat

Speech & Language Pathologist/ Therapist

I am a Speech & Language Pathologist/ Therapist & ADOS®-2 Certified Clinician, having experience of working with variety of disorders and ages. I also have a background in Psychology. I was born and bred in Pakistan.

I'm currently working with Autism Services Group as a Training Manager for Autism trainings.

Here's how I turn my passion into reality:

Over my years of practice, I have helped my clients by not only providing evaluations & therapies, but also giving their caregivers all of the necessary training and resources, which helps them to achieve maximum goals over the time. I've seen family members who have had conditions which impaired their communication skills, and that has helped me in developing empathy for the clients and their caregivers.

I have had a pleasure of learning from the best and working in some of the best organizations in the industry. Though I cannot take sole credit for the success of any of those, I sure feel blessed and humbled to be a significant part of their success every now and then.

I have been motivated to 'work smart' and always believe that 'progress never stops.'

The words about me that often comes up from people I have worked with will be 'workaholic,' 'evidence-based,' 'creative' and 'fun'. I can neither confirm nor deny any of those but I sure prefer to be a "passionate evidence-based smart-worker," just in case...

SLP-ing is a never-ending work of studying, paper-work and meeting clients. The most crucial ingredients in this profession are passion, high energy and ability to put knowledge to work. It is a tough job, No Kidding! But it is rewarding too. And for it to reward you, you have to be a resourceful person in anything related to your field. Yup, that's the story of my life.
