ADIR Training
This is a 2-day virtual course run by Sarah supported by Areeba guiding the trainee through implementing and utilising the ADI-R. The ADIR is the leading tool across the world to gather relevant information used in the formulation of an autism diagnosis against both the DSM-5 and ICD-10/ICD-11.
Format of the day
The day begins at 9:30am and finishes at 4pm. there will be two 15-minute breaks and 30 minutes for lunch. Jo and Sarah are keen to embrace participation so there will be time allocated for questions. Our training also aim to be neuroaffirmative and we welcome neurodivergent professionals onto training, adapting formats and engagement to suit needs.
After training
This course allows you to undertake the ADIR as an assessor against the gold standard NICE guidelines and certificates will be issued to reflect this.
Our courses all include post-training support and access to our online training platform for two months after training to ensure you feel supported in your new qualification.
ADOS-2 Training
This is a virtual 3-day virtual course run by Sarah supported by Areeba guiding the trainee through implementing and utilising the ADOS-2 modules 1-4. The ADOS-2 is an essential tool used to gather relevant observational information used in the formulation of autism diagnosis against the DSM-5 and ICD-10/ICD-11.
Format of the day
The day begins at 9:30am and finishes at 4pm, there will be two 15-minute breaks and 30 minutes for lunch. Jo and Sarah are keen to embrace participation so there will be time allocated for questions. Our training also aim to be neuroaffirmative and we welcome neurodivergent professionals onto training, adapting formats and engagement to suit needs.

Comprehensive ADIR and ADOS-2 Training
This is a virtual 5-day virtual course run by Sarah supported by Areeba which qualifies participants in both main components of autism assessment: the ADIR and ADOS-2.
The first 2 days focus on the ADI-R, guiding the trainee through implementing and utilising the ADI-R as the leading tool to gather relevant information used in the formulation of autism diagnosis against the DSM-5 and ICD-10/ICD-11.
The next 3 days guide the trainee through implementing and utilising the ADOS-2 modules 1-4 as essential tools to gather relevant information used in the formulation of autism diagnosis against the DSM-5 and ICD-10/ICD-11.

ADHD Diagnosis & Assessment Training
This is a virtual 2-day course run by Sarah Phelan supported by Lynda Iyeke with ADHD Powerbank tools designed to guide professionals through the implementation of best-practice ADHD assessment approaches.
Day 1 - Using recognised clinical frameworks, trainees will learn how to conduct structured diagnostic interviews, apply validated rating scales, and interpret results in line with NICE guidelines. The course focuses on both child and adult ADHD assessments, emphasising differential diagnosis and comorbidities such as autism and mental health conditions.
Day 2 - After an assessment and diagnosis of ADHD, focus shifts towards personalised management planning which recognises individual needs and challenges.
Management of confirmed ADHD should be holistic, addressing core symptoms of ADHD plus their functional impact. Management includes non- pharmacological interventions that support ongoing challenges with core symptoms and treatment with pharmacological interventions which are effective in reducing symptom severity.
Format of each Day
Each day begins at 9:30am and finishes at 5pm, with breaks in between. Sarah and Lynda encourage active participation, with plenty of time for case discussion and Q&A.
The training is fully neuroaffirmative, and we welcome neurodivergent professionals by adapting engagement formats and materials to suit different learning needs.
After Training
By the end of this course, you will be a fully trained ADHD assessor, equipped to deliver high-quality ADHD assessments in line with NICE and UK best-practice standards. You will receive a certificate of completion.
Ongoing post-training supervision and access to our online community of trainers/alumni is included, ensuring you feel confident and supported as you integrate your new skills into clinical or educational practice.
Who is eligible to attend Autism and ADHD Assessor Training
Our training is typically available to professionals who have a background in healthcare, psychology, psychiatry, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, education, or related fields—essentially anyone qualified to assess or work with individuals with developmental disorders.
Regarding our training a language proficiency document is not a requirement- however we do expect a good understanding of both written and spoken English.

Who is the ADOS-2 training suited towards?
Training in the ADOS-2 (Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule, Second Edition) is typically available to professionals who have a background in psychology, psychiatry, speech-language pathology, occupational therapy, education, or related fields, essentially anyone qualified to assess or work with individuals with developmental disorders.
Here’s a quick breakdown of who can train:

- Social workers or counsellors with relevant experience
- Educational diagnosticians or special educators with diagnostic roles

Official guidance from the University of San Francisco (who created the ADOS-2 course) says that you do not need a specific qualification to attend training, but you do need relevant clinical experience, along with a solid understanding of autism and child development. The qualifications outlined above are best placed to conduct the assessments.
You also need to be able to have the competence to work at a graduate level given the complexity of the assessment.
Professionals who wish to understand how the ADOS-2 works to be able to support families through the process, or to provide support into schools are able to attend trainings. To actually administer and interpret the ADOS-2 in practice, most institutions require formal clinical qualifications alongside ADOS-2 certification along with relevant professional insurance and, potentially, supervision.
It may be a requirement to evidence IELTS for a degree program or HCPC registration in the UK.
We expect a good understanding of both written and spoken English from attendees of our courses.
